Hydrogen is an element used in many industrial processes. This is produced through electrical energy and therefore causes tons of CO2 to go into the atmosphere. In fact, it’s responsible for 2% of global CO2 emissions. On the other hand, obtaining hydrogen through renewable energies, such as solar, is completely clean. It is also a mobility solution because it can be used as fuel and even allows energy to be stored.

Green Hydrogen Consortium Goals
CH2R aims to identify opportunities to develop green hydrogen technologies for the industrial sector, mobility, energy storage and other heavy industries. As well as to promote bonds between suppliers and operators to collaborate and support to experimental projects in this area.
The main goal is to encourage technological innovation that leads to a paradigm shift. Creating at the same time business opportunities.
The CH2R is created by the business associations Area8 and Associació Empresarial Pedrosa (AEPe). Which all toguether represents, more than 600 companies. Also with the support of the public administration, to create synergies that allow the development of ambitious projects that take place in Barcelona and Catalonia.
